Christmas time is a time to reflect about how you use your home

It is during this time of the year that we have more people over to our homes. Being house proud is really important to many Australian’s. The festive season may be a time to think ahead about your living space and ask yourself if you are living as you want to live?

During this time when everyone is home, it is easy to get underfoot. Creating spaces for growing families is a challenge with block sizes getting smaller in most capital cities. Being clever about how you use space to create those nooks and break away spaces for guests is a trend I am seeing more and more of. Having that extra room to have people stay or put the kids when you have guests is something most people would dearly love.

Similarly having use of outside spaces as social entertainment areas is growing in popularity as we love to be outside during the summer months. Have a multifunctional room inside or outside your home is a definite plus.  So as you gather around the Christmas dinner this year, it might be time to reflect how you use your spaces and if there is a way you can convert a tired lounge, outside patio or greehouse into a special multi functional room for those holiday guests.
