Why 01

When the house stops fitting.

Most people come to Mark when a home that used to work no longer fits how they live. Before you decide to extend, renovate or move, it helps to see what is possible in the house you already have.

A

The kids have moved out

Rooms sit empty while the kitchen and living spaces still feel cramped. See what opening up the back could do.

B

The family is growing

You need another bedroom, a second living space or room to work from home. Try where the space could go.

C

Retirement is coming

You want to stay in the area and live well for the next twenty years. Picture a home that fits that chapter.

How it works 02

Three steps, a few minutes.

There is nothing to install. It works in your browser on a laptop, tablet or phone.

01

Upload your plan or sketch

The tool reads the rooms and walls. You check them, and fix anything it got wrong, before anything is built.

02

Walk through it in 3D

Take the guided tour or walk room by room. Try an extension at the back, change colours and finishes, and pick a garden style.

03

Talk to Mark about what's possible

Your concept becomes the starting point for a real conversation about your home, your site and your budget.

What you can try 03

Picture the options before you commit.

Everything changes live in the 3D view, so you can compare ideas side by side.

Walk every room

A guided tour through real doorways, from the street to the back garden, or walk freely yourself.

Try an extension

Layout options based on your plan and what you need, from a rear extension to a garden studio.

Colours and finishes

Change wall colours, floors, joinery and benchtops, or start from a ready-made mood board.

Garden styles

Formal heritage, cottage, native or Mediterranean, planted around your own footprint.

Light through the day

Switch between morning, afternoon and dusk to see how light moves through the house.

See inside

Lift the roof off for a cutaway view, or switch to the plan to see how the rooms connect.

No plan? 04

Start from a sketch.

Draw your house on paper, label the rooms and write any sizes you know. Take a photo and upload it. The tool turns it into a simple plan for you to check, then builds the 3D model from there.

Good to know 05

What it is, and what it isn't.

The tool is there to help you think and talk. The design work starts with Mark.

It is

  • A quick way to picture options in your own house
  • A way to show Mark how you live and what isn't working
  • A starting point for a Feasibility Study

It isn't

  • A design, or a replacement for an architect
  • A council check or a planning approval
  • A quote or a construction drawing

The next step 06

A Feasibility Study with Mark.

Three focused sessions to clarify your design goals and get a realistic cost estimate. Mark looks at what your site allows, what you want the house to do for you, and what it is likely to involve, so you can decide your next step with confidence.

Mark runs a solo practice in Oakleigh and works with a trusted network of engineers, builders and council specialists on each project. His work has featured in The Age and Best Houses Australia.

Questions 07

Before you upload.

Is it free to use?

Yes. There is no cost to upload a plan, start from a sketch or explore the example home.

What kind of floor plan works best?

A real estate floor plan or your architect's drawing, as a PDF, PNG or JPG up to 20 MB. Architects can also upload a DXF. Clear plans with room names and sizes read best, and you check every room before the 3D model is built.

I don't have a floor plan. Can I still use it?

Yes. Take a photo of a hand-drawn sketch. A rough drawing on paper is fine. Label the rooms and write any sizes you know, and the tool helps you turn it into a simple plan.

Is my plan kept private?

Your plan is only used to build your model, and it is deleted after 30 days.

Is the 3D model a design for my home?

No. It is a concept guide to help you picture options and start a conversation. Sizes come from your drawing, and the finishes, furniture and garden are suggestions. It is not a design, a council check, a quote or a construction drawing.

What happens after I've explored my home in 3D?

If you would like to take it further, book a Feasibility Study with Mark. It looks at what your site allows, what you want the house to do for you and what it is likely to involve, so you can decide your next step with confidence.
